Sophie
We have had this cat for about 15 years. She is the loveliest cat we have ever owned (we have five!), but her time is nearly up. For the past year and a half we have let her enter boundaries that the other cats would never be allowed to enter, such as coming into the house because she is old and can barely fend for herself. I just realised today that I did not have any good photos of Soph; one of the reasons for this.... dilemma (?) is that she has always hidden from me whenever I get the camera near her. And she's stubborn!
To get to the point, today I whipped out the camera as she was lazing in the sun and I managed to get enough good photos for the records, and to remember her when she dies.
I had to scratch behind her ear to keep her still!

Photoshop = Photographer's best friend!
I have up-dated my editing programs to one that beats them all... Photoshop, A.K.A, Photographer's best friend!! It works wonders!
A little while ago I took a photo that was almost perfect.... the only problem was that two bushes (or, a more befitting word, weeds) obstructed the view of a row of trees' reflections in the water. I was most up-set! But, Photoshop came to the rescue and fixed my problem!
Before ^^
After ^^
Isn't that amazing?

Picture Thoughts
I have been doing a lot of research on Photography recently, to help me with my assignment on that topic... I've found some amazing sites! One in particular that I loved was Picture Thoughts.
Here is something that the person on the site wrote:
".... Historically the word Photography is derived from the Greek words "photos" (meaning "light") and "graphein" ("to draw"). It was used by scientists to describe a method of recording images by the action of light, or related radiation, on a sensitive material.
.... it is also an art because it is not enough to just capture a scene, you have to understand proper balance of colour, space, lighting, angles and other factors including human perception that makes you captured image stand out."
Just thought I'd share that out of interest =)
